When I was little, I always used to ask my parents about our family tree.  Truth is there was only so much that my parents could tell me about my family.  My parents didn’t know that much about my family history and there was only so much that I could learn from some old boxes in my Grandmother’s attic.  I was still curious to learn more about my family’s past.

Getting started was easy and simple.  All I had to do was enter my first and last name, my age, sex, and choose which side of the family I was searching for.  My existing family is not very big, so I thought that I would find a lot of dead ends, but that was certainly not the case.  Ancestry.com helped find those lost members of my family, people who I never even know existed.
